Accounting majors at LSUS can choose between two tracks, general accounting and public accounting. The general accounting courses cover a vast majority of topics relevant to the CPA exam, while the public accounting track helps students complete the general business and accounting requirements to sit for the CPA exam in Louisiana.

As an LSUS accounting major, you can take a two-week course studying ‘Issues in European Business’ in Lüneburg, Germany!

In order to become a CPA, an individual must pass the Uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination. The LSUS School of Business offers the courses required to sit for the CPA exam. The CMA exam is administered by the Institute of Management Accountants. One step to becoming a CMA is to obtain a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
