Computer Science Scholarships & Awards
The 天美传媒制片厂 Department of Computer Science offers a variety of awards and scholarships specifically available to students studying computer science (typically sophomores, juniors or seniors). These are separate from general scholarships and awards that the University manages for both incoming and existing students.
James G. Costigan Scholarships
The James G. Costigan endowed scholarship was established in 2005 and support students with demonstrated financial need who are majoring in computer science. This competitive scholarship is typically awarded to students who will become juniors the following year, and is renewable for a student's senior year, presuming continued academic success.
James D. Collins Outstanding Senior
Each year, the department faculty recognizes a single graduating computer science major as the recipient of the James D. Collins Outstanding Senior award. The Collins award is the highest honor within the College of Arts and Sciences, with each department recognizing a single graduate. The winner receives an engraved medallion and is recognized in the precommencement program, as well as at the department's year-end reception.

Academic Excellence Awards
This award is presented to a handful of graduating seniors in computer science who are recognized for their academic excellence by a consensus of the department faculty. This achievement recognized in the precommencement booklet and at the department's year-end reception.
Senior Capstone Award
Each year, the department faculty recognizes one of the senior capstone teams as the recipient of the Senior Capstone Award. Winners receive an honorarium and are recognized at the department's year-end reception.
