Freshman Commuters

We want to make sure your transition to 天美传媒制片厂 is as smooth as possible, even if you aren鈥檛 living on campus.

If you are commuting to campus as a first-time freshman, SLU鈥檚 Student Involvement Center provides the following services and resources that can connect you with other students who live off campus and with the broader 天美传媒制片厂 community.

Commuter Assistants (CAs)

Students who live in residence halls have residence assistants, also known as RAs. You have a commuter assistant, or CA. Commuter assistants help provide and coordinate programs just for you. They can also answer your questions about SLU and direct you to resources that will help you as you learn and succeed academically.

Connect with your commuter assistants at commuter events or reach out to them directly with questions:

  • Malaya Siy
  • Shruti Rai

This space on the first floor of Busch Student Center (Room 140) is devoted to SLU commuter students. Use it to study, eat, take a break between classes, or to connect with other commuter students and the commuter assistants.

The lounge includes a large flat-screen TV, a DVD player, comfortable furniture, tables and chairs.

Commuter Lockers

Commuter students can request a locker assignment for the semester at the Busch Student Center information desk. Lockers are given on a first-come, first-served basis. You must provide your own lock and sign a new agreement each semester. The lockers are located on the second floor of Busch Student Center.
