Several ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÖÆƬ³§ researchers have been recognized by as some of the most-cited researchers in their fields.
Five SLU researchers cracked the top 1,000 cited researchers. They are:
- Robert B. Belshe, M.D. – Belshe is a professor emeritus in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Allergy and Immunology and founder of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ÖÆƬ³§â€™s Center for Vaccine Development. He was named a top Immunology Scientist. He received a national score of 422 and a world score of 743.
- Robert B. Herrmann, Ph.D. – Herrmann holds the Paul C. Reinert Chair of Natural Sciences and is a professor of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences in the School of Science and Engineering. He was named a top Earth Scientist, receiving a national score of 948 and a world score of 2122.
- Jerome Katz, Ph.D. – Katz holds the Robert H. Brockhaus Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship and is a professor of management in the Richard A. Chaifetz School of Business. He was named a top Best Business and Management Scientist. Katz received a national score of 777 and a world score of 1813.
- Ranjit Ray, Ph.D. – Ray is a infectious disease researcher in the School of Medicine. His research focuses on RNA viruses; specially on the molecular mechanisms of virus-host interactions, pathogenesis, and vaccine development. He was named a top Microbiology Scientist, with a national score of 781 and a world score of 1783.
- Michael Vaughn, Ph.D. – Vaughn is a professor in the School of Social Work. He was named a top Social Sciences and Humanities Scientist, receiving a national score of 155 and a world score of 306. Vaughn was also a top-cited researcher in 2022.
