Study Abroad

Once a Saint Louis University School of Law student completes their first year of part-time or full-time law study, they can pursue a study abroad experience.

The student must be in good standing to be eligible to study abroad at our SLU LAW Summer Law Program in Madrid or at our partner institutions.

Studying international law or foreign legal systems, and exploring different cultures at foreign institutions will prepare students, upon graduation, for effective, ethical and responsible participation as members of the legal profession practicing in a global environment.

Summer Programs

Spain

SLU LAW offers an ABA-approved Summer Law Program in Madrid held on 天美传媒制片厂's Madrid Campus. The Summer Law Program builds on the center's strong comparative and international law focus by offering six credit hours of law courses taught by Spanish legal scholars and professors from 天美传媒制片厂 LAW.

Classroom instruction is in English, and the program includes guided visits to various Spanish legal institutions, including Spain's Constitutional Court and Spain's Supreme Court or Spanish law firms. The program allows students to experience Spanish culture while expanding their knowledge of international and comparative law.
